Here we are in our moment of glory as we are presented with our award by TV celeb Olly Smith and Rosie Davenport, Editor of Off Licence News, sponsors of the event.

We were chuffed to bits with the award to say the least. We are extremely proud of our selection of over 300 specialist beers from the UK and around the world, and it's fantastic to have recognition from a national award body.

This is the second time we have won the award, and the third time we have been finalists. Just goes to show you what a little shop in the North can do!

Here we are at the Dorchester basking in our moment of glory. We'd just won the National Independent Beer Retailer of the Year in 2008 and we were pretty chuffed with ourselves!

2011 - Winner - National Independent Beer Retailer of the Year

2009 Finalist - National Independent Beer Retailer of the Year
A glittering night at the Dorchester in London, where we were pipped at the post to the award, but we were still proud to have been in the top three independent shops in the country for our ever-increasing selection of national and international beers.

2009 Finalist - National Independent Drinks Retailer of the Year
We are so proud of all aspects of our business, and although we were once again beaten to the top spot, we have a range to rival the best in the country.

2009 Finalist - National Independent Neighbourhood Off Licence of the Year
We are very proud of the fact that we are a neighbourhood store. We support many local charities, and have hosted many fundraising winetastings, helping to raise many thousands of pounds for good causes. We are very fond of all our customers, and we are so pleased that again, we are in the top three in the country.

2009 Finalist - National Independent Wine Retailer of the Year
Once again, for a business running for less than four years, we were in the top three businesses for our eclectic, imaginative and value for money range. Another lovely night at the Dorchester, and another pat on the back for our efforts.

2009 Finalist – North West Specialist Wine Retailer of the Year
We were nominated for this award, so were very honoured to have been highly commended in the specialist wine retailer category.

2009 Finalist – Retail Industry Awards – National Off Licence Retailer of the Year
The Retail Industry Awards are very prestigious, and again, we felt very proud to have been invited to enter the awards. We were finalists again, but still playing with the country’s big boys!

2008 Winner - National Independent Beer Retailer of the Year
This was an amazing coup for us, we had only been running for two years, and seriously stocking beers for only one and a half. It really showed that we had got the range right for our customers, and that we were on the right track for success. We had a wonderful night at the Dorchester where the awards took place, and we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces for about two weeks!
