Adria Vini is a venture jointly owned by Boutinot and Araldica (one of the largest cooperatives in the area). Since their wines are partly importer owned, the quality and value for money of these wines is incredible, and this ‘Ca’di Ponti’ Nero d’Avola from Sicily in Southern Italy is no exception.
Ca’di Ponti Nero d’Avola (which translates as ‘Black Angel’) has rich black fruits backed by fine tannins – a ripe style that pairs well with food.
It is a deeply coloured, full-flavoured, spicy red with aromas of wild plum and black cherry accentuating savoury, liquorice characters. The palate combines dark fruit flavours with lightly smoky notes, a hint of bitter chocolate and structured tannins.
