Hailing from the Dao region of Portugal (just below the famous Douro river where all our port comes from), this is a delicious red wine.
Made by the prestigious Quinta dos Roques estate, this Tinto (red) wine is made of a blend of indigenous Portuguese grapes. The wine was aged in French oak for 10 months, and has a classic mulberry fruit aroma typical of this region. Although light in alcohol (13%), there is plenty of punch in flavour in this wine. Excellent wine to serve at dinner, but can be an informal tipple too. Well worth discovering….
